El monte Ulia es el monte más salvaje de San Sebastián. Alcanza una altitud de 243 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
Se extiende desde los barrios de Gros y Ulia hasta Pasajes.
Se puede subir andando desde Gros o en coche y dejarlo en el aparcamiento.
También hay un microbús que te sube hasta el aparcamiento, concretamente el TB6.
Desde el aparcamiento hasta el mirador hay una caminata de 10 minutos sin complicación.
Ofrece unas vistas de la ciudad increíbles. Te recomiendo ver el atardecer desde aquí, es mágico.
Mount Ulia is the wildest mountain in San Sebastian. It reaches an altitude of 243 meters above sea level.
It extends from the neighborhoods of Gros and Ulia to Pasajes.
You can walk up from Gros or by car and leave it in the car park.
There is also a minibus that takes you to the parking lot, specifically the TB6.
From the parking lot to the viewpoint there is a 10-minute walk without complications.
It offers incredible views of the city. I recommend you watch the sunset from here, it is magical.
Esta excursión es apta para todos los públicos. Comienza desde el monte Ulia y termina en Pasaia San Pedro. Tiempo: 1 hora 30 min.
Unas marcas blancas y rojas te guiarán a lo largo del recorrido.
Al acercarte a Pasaia verás desde lejos el Faro de la Plata, situado ya sobre la bocana de entrada a la bahía de Pasaia.
El faro debe su nombre a la punta de la Plata sobre la que se ubica.
Fue puesto por los marineros ya que al parecer, las piedras areniscas que forman este acantilado al mojarse por el oleaje adquieren un tono plateado.
Al llegar a Pasaia, puedes coger un bus de vuelta o puedes tomar algo en uno de estos bares que te recomiendo antes de volver:

This excursion is suitable for all audiences. It starts from Mount Ulia and ends in Pasaia San Pedro. Time: 1 hour 30 min.

As you approach Pasaia, you will see from afar the Lighthouse of La Plata, already located over the entrance to the Pasaia bay.
The lighthouse owes its name to the peak of la Plata on which it is located.
It was placed by the sailors since apparently, the sandstones that form this cliff when wetted by the waves acquire a silver tone.
When you arrive to Pasaia, you can take a bus back or you can have a drink in one of these bars that I recommend before returning:

La playa de la Zurriola es la primera de las tres playas que podemos encontrar en San Sebastián.
Está situada en el barrio de Gros, entre el Kursaal y el monte Ulia y es conocida por el ambiente surfero.
Zurriola beach is the first of the three beaches that we can find in San Sebastian.
It is located in the Gros neighbourhood, between Kursaal and Mount Ulia and is known for its surfing environment.
Te recomiendo sentarte en el muro de Sagües, ubicado al final de la playa, para disfrutar de unos atardeceres espectaculares.
Puedes hacerlo con un bocata del Campero para que lo haga aún más perfecto.
Además, puedes contemplar la escultura de La Paloma de la Paz de Nestor Basterretxea.
I recommend you sitting on the Sagües wall, located at the end of the beach, to enjoy some spectacular sunsets.
You can do it with a Campero bocata to make it even more perfect.

El Kursaal es un palacio de congresos y exposiciones donde antiguamente se situaba el casino.
Está compuesto por dos grandes cubos de cristal traslúcidos, semejantes a dos grandes rocas, cuyo arquitecto es Rafael Moneo.
Se celebran actividades tales como grandes conferencias, exposiciones y conciertos de lo más variados, desde música clásica hasta grupos de Pop Rock.
Es conocido por ser la sede principal del Festival de Cine.
The Kursaal is a conference and exhibition center where the casino was formerly located.
It is composed of two large translucent glass cubes, similar to two large rocks, whose architect is Rafael Moneo.
Activities such as large conferences, exhibitions and concerts of the most varied are held, from classical music to Pop Rock groups.
It is known for being the main venue of the Film Festival.
Urgull es un monte situado entre la Parte Vieja y el Paseo Nuevo. Este es uno de los mejores paseos de San Sebastián porque las vistas son alucinantes y toda la zona desborda historia: cañones, torres, murallas… Arriba está el Castillo de la Mota donde encontrarás la gran figura del Sagrado Corazón junto con las antiguas murallas y cañones que protegían la ciudad.
En una de sus laderas se encuentra el Cementerio de los ingleses donde yacen los restos mortales de los combatientes ingleses que cayeron en tierras guipuzcoanas durante la Primera Guerra Carlista.
En la Batería de las Damas se encuentran actualmente los cañones procedentes de las guerras de Marruecos, y la casa que fue museo de miniaturas militares.
La Batería de Santiago ofrece unas vistas espectaculares de la ciudad y justo debajo se encuentra el bar Polvorín, abierto en verano.
El acceso al monte Urgull está cerrado por las noches: del 1 de mayo al 30 de septiembre 08:00-21:00; del 1 de octubre al 30 de abril 08:00-19:30.
Los accesos se pueden realizar desde la Parte Vieja, el Paseo Nuevo o el Museo de San Telmo. También puedes hacerlo en bus cuyo trayecto finaliza en la Batería de las Damas.
Urgull is a mount located between the Old Town and the New Promenade. This is one of the best walks in San Sebastian because the views are amazing and the entire area overflows with history: canyons, towers, walls… Above is the Castillo de la Mota where you will find the great figure of the Sacred Heart along with the old walls and cannons that protected the city.
On one of its slopes is the English Cemetery where the mortal remains of the English combatants who fell in Gipuzkoan lands during the First Carlist War lie.
In the Bateria de las Damas are currently the cannons from the wars in Morocco, and the house that was a museum of military miniatures.
La Bateria de Santiago offers spectacular views of the city and just below is the Polvorín bar, that is open in summer.
Access to Mount Urgull is closed at night: from May 1 to September 30 08:00-21:00; from October 1 to April 30 08:00-19:30.
The accesses can be made from the Old Town, the New Promenade or the San Telmo Museum. You can also do it by bus whose journey ends at the Bateria de las Damas.
El Paseo Nuevo de San Sebastián es un paseo que bordea todo el monte Urgull.
Es uno de los paseos más bonitos y tranquilos de la ciudad ya que todo el paseo transcurre junto al mar Cantábrico y la bahía de La Concha.
El paseo se puede realizar tranquilamente andando en 40 minutos si salimos desde el Kursaal y damos toda la vuelta hasta el puerto.
En el Paseo Nuevo podemos encontrar una conocida escultura de Jorge Oteiza llamada Construcción Vacía.
Cuando hay mareas vivas unas impresionantes olas golpean el Paseo Nuevo formando un espectáculo fantástico aunque también peligroso.
The New Promenade of San Sebastian is a walk that borders the entire Urgull Mount.
It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful walks in the city since the entire walk runs along the Cantabrian Sea and La Concha Bay.
The walk can be done on foot in 40 minutes if we leave from the Kursaal and go all the way to the port.
In the New Promenade we can find a well-known sculpture by Jorge Oteiza called Empty Construction.
When there are high tides, impressive waves hit the New Promenade, forming a fantastic but also dangerous spectacle.
Después de disfrutar del Paseo Nuevo hay unas escaleras y un ascensor que te llevan al puerto y al Aquarium.
Situado en el muelle de San Sebastián, y junto a la Parte Vieja y a pocos minutos del centro de la ciudad.

After enjoying the New Promenade there are stairs and an elevator that take you to the port and the Aquarium.
Located on the San Sebastian pier, and next to the Old Town and a few minutes from the city center.

Ubicado en pleno centro de la ciudad, en la falda del monte Urgull, forma parte de la bahía de la Concha.
Tienes la posibilidad de conocer la costa y la bahía de San Sebastián en barco desde el Catamarán Ciudad San Sebastián. Puedes ver el recorrido y reservar ticket desde su web. Precios: Adulto: 13 € // Niños (3-10 años): 6 €
Además, también puedes coger la motora de la isla para ir a la isla Santa Clara desde el 01/06 al 30/09. Precio: 4 € ida y vuelta.

Es un lugar perfecto para relajarse con unas vistas espectaculares. Desde aquí se alinean la isla de Santa Clara con el monte Igueldo.
Puedes recorrer la pasarela hasta llegar al nivel del mar.
Te recomiendo comprar un bocata en Juantxo Taberna (tripadvisor) e ir ahí a comerlo.
Al atardecer el paisaje se llena de una luz especial.
It is a perfect place to relax with spectacular views. From here the island of Santa Clara is aligned with Mount Igueldo.
You can walk the walkway until you reach sea level.
I recommend you buying a bocata at Juantxo Taberna (tripadvisor) and go there to eat it.
At sunset the landscape is filled with a special light.
Situado en el Parque Alderdi Eder frente al Ayuntamiento se encuentra el tiovivo o Carrousel que se instaló el 31 de Agosto de 1998.
Los Jardines de Alderdi Eder, lugar hermoso en euskera, se encuentran situados frente al Ayuntamiento de la ciudad y a la bahía de La Concha. Son una de las estampas más típicas de la ciudad.
Located in the Alderdi Eder Park in front of the Town Hall is the carousel or Carrousel that was installed on August 31, 1998.
The Alderdi Eder Gardens, a beautiful place in Basque, are located in front of the City Hall and La Concha Bay. They are one of the most typical pictures of the city.
Se encuentra a los pies del monte Urgull y está llena de bares donde podrás disfrutar de una gran variedad de pintxos.
La Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Coro y la iglesia San Vicente son lugares de visita obligada.
La Plaza de la Constitución, antigua plaza de toros, es el escenario protagonista de las fiestas locales más importantes, como es la Tamborrada que se celebra el 20 de enero.
The Old Part is located at the foot of Mount Urgull and is full of bars where you can enjoy a wide variety of pintxos.
The Basilica of Our Lady of the Choir and the San Vicente Church are must-see places.
Plaza de la Constitución, the old bullring, is the main stage of the most important local festivals, such as the Tamborrada that is celebrated on January 20.
Lugar de encuentro de jóvenes y mayores, y centro neurálgico de la ciudad. Aquí llegan casi todas las líneas de autobuses urbanos.
A meeting place for young and old, and the nerve center of the city. Almost all urban bus lines arrive here.
La playa de La Concha, la seña de identidad de Donostia se sitúa en pleno centro de la ciudad ofreciendo magníficas vistas a la isla de Santa Clara y los montes Urgull e Igueldo.
Nada más bajar a la playa verás los bajos de La Concha, un lugar ideal si no quieres pisar la arena o estar a la sombra y seguir disfrutando de las vistas tranquilamente.
Los atardeceres en La Concha son realmente mágicos.
La Concha beach, Donostia’s hallmark, is located in the heart of the city, offering magnificent views of the island of Santa Clara and the Urgull and Igueldo Mount.
As soon as you go down to the beach you will see the lowlands of La Concha, an ideal place if you do not want to step on the sand or be in the shade and continue enjoying the views quietly.
The sunsets in La Concha are truly magical.
Uno de mis paseos favoritos por la ciudad. Comienza en el Ayuntamiento y termina en el túnel del Antiguo, bordea la playa del mismo nombre.
Al final del paseo, poco antes de llegar al túnel del Antiguo, se encuentra el Balcón del bicentenario donde puedes ver la obra Monumento a Fleming realizada por Eduardo Chillida.
El Palacio de Miramar fue construido en 1893 a petición de la Reina María Cristina de Austria, quien veraneaba en Donostia. Ubicado justo encima del túnel del Antiguo.
Desde aquí se obtienen unas vistas perfectas de la Bahía de la Concha, con la playa de Ondarreta a la izquierda, la playa de La Concha a la derecha y justo en frente la isla de Santa Clara.
The Miramar Palace was built in 1893 at the request of Queen María Cristina of Austria, who was spending the summer in Donostia. Located just above the Old Tunnel.

El Peine del Viento se encuentra al final de la Playa Ondarreta, es obra del escultor Eduardo Chillida. Compuesto por tres esculturas de acero, de 10 toneladas de peso cada una, incrustadas en unas rocas que dan al mar Cantábrico.
Además de las esculturas, se acondicionó una zona en los alrededores con unas salidas de aire y agua que se abastecen de las olas que rompen contra las rocas y las esculturas.
The Comb of the Wind is located at the end of Ondarreta Beach, it is the work of the sculptor Eduardo Chillida. Composed of three steel sculptures, each weighing 10 tons, embedded in rocks that overlook the Cantabrian Sea.
In addition to the sculptures, an area in the surroundings was conditioned with air and water outlets that are supplied by the waves that crash against the rocks and the sculptures.

El Parque de Atracciones Monte Igueldo es un parque de atracciones ubicado en la cima del monte Igueldo desde donde puedes ver toda la ciudad.
Puedes subir en coche, en funicular o en bus. Te recomiendo hacerlo en funicular ya que éste es el más antiguo en funcionamiento del País Vasco y el tercero de España. Precio adulto: 3,75 € ida y vuelta. Te dejo el link para consultar más información.
The Amusement park of Mount Igueldo is located on the top of Igueldo Mount from where you can see the entire city.
You can go up by car, funicular or bus. I recommend doing it by funicular since this is the oldest funicular working in the Basque Country and the third in Spain. Adult price: 3.75 € round trip. I leave you the link to consult more information.
Para ir a la isla tienes que coger la motora de la isla en el puerto. Solamente se puede ir en verano: 01/06 al 30/09. Precio de la motora: 4 € ida y vuelta.
Una opción perfecta para pasar el día desde un rincón en el que puedes contemplar la bahía de La Concha, los montes que la rodean (Urgull e Igueldo) y sus acantilados. Hay una pequeña playa, zonas de merendero y un bar con terraza.
To go to the island you have to take the island motorboat from the port. You can only go in summer: 01/06 to 30/09. Price of the motorboat: 4 € round trip.
A perfect option to spend the day from a diferent place where you can contemplate La Concha Bay, the mounts that surround it (Urgull and Igueldo) and its cliffs. There is a small beach, picnic areas and a terrace bar.
La Catedral del Buen Pastor preside el centro de la ciudad y forma un hermoso conjunto junto con el centro cultural Koldo Mitxelena y el edificio de Correos. Su torre, con 75 metros de altura, es visible desde casi todos los puntos de la ciudad.
The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd presides over the city center and forms a beautiful ensemble together with the Koldo Mitxelena cultural center and the Post Office building. Its tower, 75 meters high, is visible from almost every point in the city.
Tabakalera es un centro de cultura contemporánea ubicado en la ciudad de San Sebastián. Cuenta con exposiciones, salas de cines, espacio de creadores, laboratorio de cultura digital y tecnología, biblioteca…
Está ubicada en el Paseo del Duque de Mandas, en el barrio de Egia, entre Cristina Enea, un hermoso parque señorial del siglo XIX, hoy en día parque público, la estación de autobuses y la estación del Norte de Renfe.
Tabakalera is a contemporary culture center located in the city of San Sebastian. It has exhibitions, cinemas, creators’ space, digital culture and technology laboratory, library…
It is located on the Duque de Mandas Promenade, in the Egia neighborhood, between Cristina Enea, a beautiful 19th century stately park, nowadays a public park, the bus station and the Renfe North station.
Este romántico paseo, que discurre paralelo al río Urumea, está situado entre los puentes de María Cristina y Santa Catalina. Pasear por el mismo a pie o en bicicleta por el carril bici, entre palmeras y diferentes arboledas resulta un auténtico placer.
Al acercarte al puente María Cristina, verás una Oficina de Turismo. Se encuentra justo a la salida de la estación de autobuses y de la estación del Norte de Renfe, estación de ferrocarril que acogerá pronto el futuro Tren de alta velocidad.
This romantic walk, which runs parallel to the Urumea River, is located between the María Cristina and Santa Catalina bridges. Strolling through it on foot or by bicycle along the bike path, between palm trees and different groves is a real pleasure.
As you approach the Maria Cristina bridge, you will see a Tourist Office. It is located right outside the bus station and the Renfe Norte station, a railway station that will soon host the future high-speed train.
